2.1 - visualiser revamps
New Features
- brand new "pulsar" visualiser. i spent loads of time and lots of music tweaking it to be super responsive and hypnotic to watch. I always loved visualisers, and i always loved the one that inspired this, and i think i've made it as good as it could be imo. give it a try!
- visualisers are now real time too. no more precompute. this means we've got em on iOS too. No android yet, sorry droiders. Soon maybe
- a "clear screen" mode that just showcases the visualiser, good for a second monitor or casting to a tv. it also has an optional kind of karaoke sing-along type lyrics display if the song you're listening to has timed lyrics.
- cast to other plex players such as plexamp or anything else that can accept plex casting. This might be because i am working on an apple TV app, maybe.
Improvements
- Discovery crates are supported on desktop now
- background gradients are much smoother, no more banding at all as far as i can tell. even under worst possible case scenarios. just smooth all around
- vastly reduced battery usage on ios (all) and gpu usage on macos 26
Fixes
- fixed a bug that was inflating local play counts (didnt touch your scrobbles or server play counts)
- fixed macOS title bar double click to maximise
