Enhanced Camera System (ECS) 5.3

Enhanced Camera System (ECS) is a modular, runtime-switchable camera framework for Unreal Engine 5.3. It decouples camera logic from character actors and provides a robust, data-driven pipeline for managing gameplay perspectives and cinematic transitions via a centralized stack.

🚀 Initial Release Features

  • Centralized Camera Stack: Implements FCameraStackEntry logic within AEnhancedPlayerCameraManager, allowing for deterministic Push/Pop state management.
  • Data-Driven Configurations: All camera properties (FOV, Offset, Lag, Smoothing) are defined in specialized UCameraModeConfigBase Data Assets.
  • BlueprintNativeEvent Logic: CalculateCamera is exposed to both C++ and Blueprints, allowing for per-mode logic overrides (e.g., custom collision or ray-traced avoidance).
  • Smooth Transitions: Built-in support for time-based interpolation and jitter-damping when switching between camera states.
  • GAS-Ready: Designed to integrate with the Gameplay Ability System via FGameplayTag state indexing.

🛠️ Technical Specs

  • Engine Version: Unreal Engine 5.3
  • Platform: Tested on Windows
  • Performance: O(1) state resolution and optimized native UpdateCamera overrides.
