TTNOverlay v1.9.0
v1.9.0: Kick Chat, AutoMod Review, User Message History and Quick Replies
You can now log in with Kick, review the messages held by AutoMod, write to Twitch, Kick or both from the main chat, and look up everything a specific user has said, including every link sent.
This release brings Kick up to the level of Twitch in the moderation panel (login, sanctions, sending messages), adds an AutoMod tab to review held messages, reworks the Messages tab around specific users, makes links clickable, and fixes Kick chat after Kick retired the connection the app used. It also adds an update check and a restart prompt for debug mode to Settings, and gives the whole interface a more consistent look.
What's new?
- AutoMod review: a new AutoMod tab in the moderation panel lists the messages Twitch's AutoMod is holding, with the reason (a blocked term, or the category and level), and Allow / Deny buttons. The tab title shows how many messages are waiting, for example "AutoMod (3)"
- AutoMod stays in sync: held messages show up as they arrive, and if another moderator handles one first, you get a notice that it was already handled instead of an error
- AutoMod in the events view: a heads-up appears when AutoMod holds a message, so you notice it even with the panel closed
- Twitch only: AutoMod is a Twitch feature, so the tab is hidden when the panel is set to Kick only
- Log in with Kick: sign in from Settings or the moderation panel. The button follows Kick's own look (gray box in dark mode, white in light mode), and the connected account reads "Connected as ..." the same way for Twitch and Kick
- Write in the chat: a message box at the bottom of the main chat sends to Twitch, Kick or both at once (Multichat). It only shows while the title bar is visible, so it never gets in the way with click-through on
- Kick sanctions: the Sanctions tab now lists bans and timeouts on Kick, with unban, and clears itself when you change channel
- Messages by user: the Messages tab now works on specific users. Search by nick, or turn on Links to see every message sent with a link, from everyone or from one user
- Click a name to see their messages: clicking a user's name in the main chat opens the Messages tab already filtered by that user
- Clickable links: links show in blue and underlined and open with Ctrl + Click, with a hint on hover. Very long links now wrap instead of overflowing the window
- Check for updates: a new button in Settings > About looks for a new version on demand, and offers Update now when there is one
- Restart prompt for debug mode: turning debug mode on or off now asks whether to restart now or later, since it only applies on startup
- Debug log location: Settings > About shows where the debug log is, with a Go to button that opens it in Explorer
- Kick API next to Twitch API: the Kick API section now sits right under the Twitch API in Settings
- Simpler login page: the page that opens in the browser after logging in with Twitch or Kick is now a plain message, in all 8 languages
- Animated notices: copy, ban, mute, delete, AutoMod decisions and similar actions show a small notice that slides up and fades out after 3 seconds, in a plain black/white style that follows the theme. Errors are marked with an X
- Title bar tooltips: Settings, Hide bar (click-through) and Close now explain themselves on hover, in all 8 languages
- Hover everywhere: tabs, buttons, list rows and text fields in the moderation panel light up under the mouse
- Smarter Save button: in Settings, Save stays gray until something changes, and it lights up on hover
- Consistent look: every box now has square corners, and "Chat settings" is labeled as Twitch-only, since Kick has no public API for those options
- Kick chat connection fixed: Kick retired the connection the app used to read its chat. The app now connects through Kick's new realtime service
- Moderation panel fix: reopening the panel after visiting the Messages tab could leave it blank or close the app
- Missing translations: the message box texts were missing in German, French, Japanese, Portuguese, Chinese and Russian, and are now added
- Cleaner exit: the debug log is deleted when you close the app unless debug mode is on. Chat data is never written to disk
- Re-login required once: if your Twitch session was created before AutoMod review was added, or your Kick session before sending messages was added, log out and in again once to get the new permission

v1.8.0: Kick Chat, AutoMod Review, User Message History and Quick Replies
You can now log in with Kick, review the messages held by AutoMod, write to Twitch, Kick or both from the main chat, and look up everything a specific user has said, including every link sent.

TTNOverlay v1.7.0
v1.6.0: AutoMod Review
The moderation panel has a new AutoMod tab to allow or reject messages held by AutoMod, with a pending counter and multi-moderator sync.
This release adds an AutoMod tab to the moderation panel, where you can review messages that AutoMod or blocked terms are holding, and allow or reject them without leaving the overlay. It also keeps the queue in sync across moderators, shows a pending counter and a chat alert, and adds the new permission Twitch requires for AutoMod actions.
What's new?
- AutoMod tab: each held message appears with its time, author, text, reason (category and level, or "blocked term"), and the Allow and Reject buttons
- Covers AutoMod and blocked terms: the tab lists both messages held by AutoMod and messages caught by blocked terms
- Pending counter: the tab shows
AutoMod (3)while there are pending messages, so you can see at a glance if anything needs review - Chat alert: when the queue goes from empty to non-empty, a notice appears in chat, useful if the moderation panel is closed
- Multi-moderator sync: if another moderator resolves a message, or it expires, it disappears from your list automatically
- Works for any moderator: the AutoMod tab is available to any moderator, not only the channel owner. The queue holds up to 50 messages
- Localized status and errors: status and error messages are available in all 8 supported languages
- Responsive tabs: with three tabs, the tab bar wraps to a second row on narrow overlays so it does not get cut off
- Re-login required for AutoMod actions: Twitch requires the new
moderator:manage:automodpermission. Log out and log in with Twitch once more from Settings or the moderation panel. Everything else keeps working without it

v1.6.0: AutoMod Review

TTNOverlay v1.5.0
v1.5.0: Message Moderation
The moderation panel has a new Messages tab to review recent chat and act on it, plus a fix for the startup update prompt.
This release adds a Messages tab to the moderation panel, where you can see what was written in the last few minutes and delete messages or sanction their authors without leaving the overlay. It also keeps the moderation panel in sync with Twitch, and fixes the overlay appearing over the update prompt at startup.
What's new?
- Messages tab: the moderation panel now lists recent Twitch chat messages for a time window you choose (last 1, 5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes), with a log capped in size so it stays light on memory
- Actions on a message: delete the message, mute, ban or warn its author, delete the message and apply the sanction in a single step, or delete all of a user's messages in the selected window
- Live status: rows are dimmed and tagged
[deleted],[muted]or[banned]as soon as they are deleted or sanctioned from anywhere (the app, Twitch's web chat, or another moderator) - Re-login required to delete messages: to delete messages, log out and log in with Twitch once more from Settings or the moderation panel, since Twitch requires a new permission. Everything else keeps working without it
- Chat modes in sync: slow mode, subscribers-only, emote-only, followers-only and unique chat now update in the panel's checkboxes when someone changes them on Twitch, instead of only being read when the panel opens
- Banned users list: the separator between the name and the ban duration is now a centered dot (
·) instead of a dash
Bug Fixes
- Update prompt: the overlay no longer shows up while the update prompt is still open at startup. It now waits for your answer, and is shown right away if you decline or the update fails
- Twitch login/logout sync: logging in or out from the moderation panel while the Settings window is open (or the other way around) is now reflected in both, and no longer restores a session you just closed
- Unbanned users: users you unban no longer keep their
[banned]tag in the Messages tab. The tag is also cleared when they write again or when they no longer appear in the banned list
TTNOverlay v1.4.0
v1.4.0: Channel Points Redemptions
Channel points redemptions now show their full detail in chat and the alerts panel, plus a fix for the release notes dialog.
This release shows the reward name and point cost for every channel points redemption. Previously they were only visible, without detail, when the redemption included a chat message. It also fixes a crash in the release notes dialog and restyles its scrollbar.
What's new?
- Channel points redemptions: now shown in both the chat and the alerts panel, with the reward name and point cost
- Re-login required for full detail: to see it, log in with Twitch once more from Settings, using the account that owns the channel (Twitch only grants this information to that account, not even to moderators). Without re-logging in, the app keeps showing what it showed before
Bug Fixes
- Release notes dialog: fixed a crash when opening it on startup after an update
- Release notes dialog: its scrollbar now matches the rest of the app's style, replacing the "▼ Scroll for more" text
TTNOverlay v1.3.4
v1.3.4: Chat Auto-Reconnect
A small bug-fix release: chat now recovers on its own after a dropped connection.
This release fixes chat staying disconnected after a temporary loss of internet, even after the connection came back.
Bug Fixes
- Chat: Twitch and Kick chat now automatically reconnect after a dropped connection, instead of staying disconnected until the app was restarted
TTNOverlay v1.3.3
v1.3.3: Dialog Crash Fix
A small bug-fix release addressing a random crash affecting dialog windows.
This release fixes an intermittent crash that could hit any dialog window (update prompts, confirmations, the color picker, GIF preview) while it was open and waiting for user input.
Bug Fixes
- Dialogs: fixed an intermittent crash where dialog windows (update confirmation, download progress, color picker, GIF preview) could be garbage-collected while still open, causing the app to terminate
TTNOverlay v1.3.2
v1.3.2: Dialog Positioning & Rendering Fixes
A small bug-fix release covering dialog centering, a resize crash, and a title bar icon fallback.
This release fixes update and confirmation dialogs spilling outside a resized overlay, a crash on window resize caused by stale title bar brushes, and a title bar icon that could render as a plain rectangle on some systems.
Bug Fixes
- Dialogs: the update confirmation and download-progress dialogs are now centered on the screen instead of over the overlay's own window, so they no longer spill outside the bounds of a small overlay
- Startup: the "update available" dialog now appears before the overlay window is shown, instead of after
- Resize: fixed a crash on resize caused by stale title bar connection-dot brushes not being disposed when the render target was recreated
- Title bar: fixed the "hide borders" icon rendering as a plain rectangle on some systems by replacing the symbol-font glyph with a vector icon
TTNOverlay v1.3.1
v1.3.1: Release Notes Dialog Crash Fix
A small patch release fixing a crash introduced in the "what's new" dialog.
Bug Fixes
-
Release notes dialog: fixed a crash (NullReferenceException) that could occur when closing the "what's new" dialog shown after an update, closing it could call
DestroyWindowa second time on an already-destroyed window handle -
Release notes dialog: replaced the text-based scroll hint with the shared scrollbar indicator, matching the rest of the app
