Windows standalone skill / 无需配置 Python

Download context-window-0.4.1-windows-x64.zip, extract it, and install its context-window folder into the skill directory supported by your local ChatGPT Work / Codex client. The skill uses its bundled bin/context_window.exe.

下载 context-window-0.4.1-windows-x64.zip，解压后将 context-window 文件夹放入客户端支持的技能目录。新版内含 Windows x64 独立程序，无需额外安装 Python、创建虚拟环境或安装 PowerShell 7。

Changes

  • Bundle the runtime in a Windows x64 executable; retain Python source for developers.
  • Prefer the executable in the skill instructions; preserve preview, backup, conflict checks, and restore behavior.
  • Include the expanded English guide and documented Work Local / Codex Local 500K/600K window results.
  • Add Windows build and isolated executable smoke checks with Python removed from PATH.

The release workflow attaches the Windows ZIP and SHA256SUMS.txt after all build checks pass. Source-code ZIP/TAR downloads do not contain the generated executable.

本版不改变上下文设置逻辑，不新增模型能力验证；既有双界面窗口证据和自动压缩证据的适用范围见 docs/VALIDATION.md。

Community project, not affiliated with OpenAI. Local configuration does not increase server-side model capacity.

首次公开发布

Windows 本地 ChatGPT Work / Codex 上下文设置技能，支持：

  • 全部模型或指定模型的上下文窗口、有效比例、自动压缩阈值调整。
  • 本机缓存、指定 JSON、已安装 Codex 内置资料刷新。
  • 预览、事务备份、哈希冲突检查和恢复。

仅依赖 Python 3.11+ 标准库。下载 context-window-0.4.0.zip，按 README 安装其中的 context-window 文件夹。SHA256SUMS.txt 用于检查下载包完整性。

验证范围

发布副本 33 项隔离测试通过；Windows 上 Python 3.11、3.12、3.13 的 GitHub CI 通过。

此前本机 Codex 0.163.0-alpha.10.2 新进程完成 8 个正式真实模型回合，观察到 2 次自动压缩完成；配置已恢复。未重启桌面界面，未验证全部模型、所有客户端版本或 60 万 token 长输入极限。详细范围见仓库 docs/VALIDATION.md。

本项目调整本机配置，不增加服务端模型能力。MIT License；unofficial community project, not affiliated with OpenAI.

后续验证说明（2026-10-21）

本次是文档补充，功能版本、v0.4.0标签及安装包保持不变。

用户分别从 Work Local 与 Codex Local 界面新建聊天，共4个回合；同一模型、同一目录，500K原始窗口时两者实际均475K，改为600K后两者实际均570K（有效比例95%）。两轮间未重启桌面应用，测试结束后原配置已恢复。

该结果确认本轮 Windows / Codex 0.163.0-alpha.11 / gpt-6-luna 环境下，共享窗口修改对两个模式的新聊天均有效；不证明旧聊天自动更新、全部模型兼容或两个界面的压缩参数全部通过。设置按全部模型或指定模型组织，不按Work/Codex模式分别保存窗口。
