v1.1.0
Brewery 1.1.0 gives light mode distinct layers and replaces the app icon with a 3D crate.
Highlights
- Light mode separates its surfaces: a darker title bar over a grey navigation band, a white toolbar, a cool grey page, and white cards with an outline and soft shadow
- Category tiles take a pale wash of their icon's colour, and Spotlight cards start from a light tint instead of a dark one
- Hero banner buttons stay readable in light mode, and the confirmation sheet shows its command in an inset box
- New 3D app icon and logo
- Fixed a crash on Macs without Homebrew: the Homebrew Not Found screen loaded its logo from the build machine's folder
Dark mode is unchanged.
Requirements
- macOS 12 or newer on Apple silicon
- Existing Homebrew installation

v1.0.0
Brewery 1.0.0 is the first stable release: a native SwiftUI macOS client for Homebrew that browses the catalog like an app store, manages what you have installed, and shows what depends on what before you uninstall it.
Highlights
- Browse is an App Store-style catalog: a Most Installed carousel, category shelves (AI, Developer Tools, Terminal, Security, Networking, Data, Media, Fonts, Design, Productivity, Communication, Libraries, Utilities) and Top Charts ranked by Homebrew's install analytics for the last year
- Casks show the icon of the app they install, resolved from the installed bundle or the project's site, and hero banners take their colour from it
- Pin any catalog entry from any shelf and find it under the Pinned button in the header
- Library replaces the All, Formulae, Casks and Outdated pages: installed casks as cards, formulae as a list, outdated packages first, with Upgrade All for each section and upgrade/uninstall on every entry
- The package detail pane opens on selection, closes with the × or Esc, and moves beneath the content in narrow windows
- A centred navigation bar replaces the sidebar; Browse and Library each have their own Refresh, and Clean Up lives on Diagnostics next to the command log
- Neutral selection rings and appearance-safe card fills in light and dark mode
- The app bundle is ad-hoc signed with sealed resources
Requirements
- macOS 12 or newer on Apple silicon
- Existing Homebrew installation
