v1.0.1
Fedoo 1.0.1
Fedoo 1.0.1 improves force recovery and nonlinear convergence checks, finite-strain Simcoon integration, composite material orientation, and viewer post-processing.
Main improvements since 1.0.0
Force recovery and nonlinear dynamics
- Recover nonlinear forces from the evaluated residual, including inertia and damping, and refresh them after vector updates and rollback.
- Preserve the completed step's force balance in linear implicit dynamics.
- Recover explicit-dynamics forces from the solved system on demand, including diagonal mass operators, without storing force snapshots.
- Include prescribed accelerations in the free equations for central difference with consistent mass.
- Evaluate the Newton force criterion even when the force reference is zero.
- Apply rigid-body forces and torques through constant Neumann conditions, keeping applied loads separate from contact and inertia in the assembled residual and preserving a nonzero current force reference in free-body dynamics.
Finite-strain Simcoon integration
- Use Simcoon's
corateand directtangent_outputwhen supported, while retaining Fedoo's box-tangent conversion for older Simcoon versions. - Route Simcoon step-cut requests through Fedoo's failed-increment handling.
- Make finite-strain Simcoon laws that do not convect their own material axes follow the rotating material frame.
- Use the selected corotational rate for tangent conversion in both total and updated Lagrangian formulations.
Composite material orientation
- Add
degrees=FalsetoCompositeUDfor fiber angles specified in radians. - Correct stiffness rotation for a single nonzero fiber angle, as well as arrays of Gauss-point angles.
Viewer post-processing
- Make Plot Over Line sample the currently displayed field and component after plot changes.
- Preserve Plot Over Line endpoints independently for each view when reopening the dialog or switching views.
- Let duplicated views inherit the endpoints independently.
Compatibility and migration notes
CompositeUDcontinues to interpret fiber angles in degrees by default. Usedegrees=Falsewhen supplying radians.- The Simcoon adapter retains compatibility with older versions that require Fedoo's box-tangent conversion.
- Force recovery and convergence checks now use the corrected force balance, which can change reported forces and nonlinear convergence behavior in affected analyses.
