HAPI Chat 0.6.4
Fix chat tabs moving between editor groups after Developer: Reload Window.
Restoring an embedded website no longer calls reveal(). VS Code restores the original group, tab order and active tab; background tabs stay in place when activated later. Session navigation and the website adapter identity are preserved. Sidebar tabs remain independently restored.
Verified with 37 tests and an isolated desktop VS Code scenario with three tabs in the left editor group and two in the right: actual window reload, restored selection/order and activation of all background tabs.
HAPI Chat 0.6.3
Ctrl+F now opens Find in Chat in embedded HAPI sidebar views and editor tabs. Use Cmd+F on macOS, Enter for the next match, Shift+Enter for the previous match, and Escape to close.
The search selects and scrolls to loaded page text, wraps around, ignores case, and handles text across inline formatting without rewriting the website DOM. Older chat messages must be loaded into the page first. Composer drafts remain intact. Search messages are scoped to the active embedded website.
Validated with 37 tests, syntax checks, and a Chromium browser check for shortcuts inside/outside the iframe, next/previous/wrap, case, inline markup, hidden text, closing search and draft preservation.
HAPI Chat 0.6.2
Chat settings now include Refresh page and Copy link, in both the sidebar and editor tabs.
Refresh page reloads the active chat. Copy link copies the direct URL of the current hub/session, without the local proxy address or temporary login token.
Verified with 36 tests, syntax checks and a browser integration check of both buttons, clipboard content, page reload and menu closing.
HAPI Chat 0.6.1
External links now open in the operating system's default browser instead of replacing the embedded chat with an unreachable blank page.
Navigation within the configured HAPI hub stays embedded. Native session links, dialogs and image/video viewers retain their behavior. Another hub under a different URL prefix is external, including on the same hostname. Normal clicks, middle clicks, new-tab links and window.open are covered.
Fixes #1. Verified with 36 tests, syntax checks, VS Code host checks and a browser integration check through the extension's actual proxy and message bridge. The live test hub was unavailable; the browser check used a local hub fixture.
HAPI Chat 0.6.0: open, move and copy chats between tab groups
Right-click sessions in HAPI Connections to open in the main chat view, a fresh editor group, or a new tab in the active editor group.
Each embedded chat's settings now include Open in, Move to, Copy to, and New, with the same three destinations. Move closes the original view only after opening the destination and preserves the session's local website origin, preferences and draft storage. Copy keeps the original view open. New opens the native HAPI new-session form in the selected location.
The existing left-click behavior, saved hub profiles, native HAPI website and proxy settings remain available.
Install from the Visual Studio Marketplace, Open VSX, or the VSIX below. Run Developer: Reload Window after updating.
Validation: 34 tests, syntax checks, VS Code host checks for groups/tabs/transfers, and all 12 menu actions against a native HAPI website.
HAPI Chat 0.5.6: dismiss repeated composer tips
Embedded chats no longer repeat HAPI's composer onboarding popovers with the Got it button in every new window. Scratchlists and rich mentions remain available; regular browser tabs keep their normal onboarding.
Install from the Visual Studio Marketplace, Open VSX, or the VSIX below. The extension README and the upstream HAPI integration PR now link to the Microsoft Marketplace.
Validation: 33 tests, JavaScript syntax checks, VS Code host CI, and native HAPI browser checks passed. Run Developer: Reload Window after updating.
HAPI Chat 0.5.5: chat window actions, browser auto-login and native HAPI font settings
HAPI Chat 0.5.5
- Chat settings menu can open a copy beside, a new chat window and the default external browser.
- Browser auto-login uses a separate temporary local adapter and the saved profile, with no real hub key in its URL. The browser survives closing the chat view; keep VS Code open. Original hub URL is the fallback for normal login.
- Font selector updates the native HAPI font preference for this website instance only. New embedded websites default to 80%. Supported sizes 80–120%, no iframe transforms, no reload, independent browser/window preferences.
- Hub selector stays pinned to its own website when other windows change hubs.
Install the VSIX and run Developer: Reload Window.
HAPI Chat 0.5.4: crisp native chat rendering and correct session titles
HAPI Chat 0.5.4
- Native website rendering without CSS scaling, keeping text crisp.
- Compact overlay menu contains only saved Hub and per-hub Proxy choices. Chat and machine selection use HAPI's own navigation.
- Native session navigation resolves readable tab titles through HAPI metadata, with protection against outdated responses after rapid navigation.
- Main README screenshot shows several native HAPI sessions in parallel.
Install the VSIX and run Developer: Reload Window.
HAPI Chat 0.5.3: compact chat header and native website scaling
HAPI Chat 0.5.3
- Single 26px chat header with an overlay settings menu.
- Embedded native HAPI websites default to 70% scale, configurable in the menu and VS Code Settings without reload.
- Choose chat opens the full Connections and Folders tree instead of listing only loaded chats.
- Saved profiles, per-hub proxy choices, parallel windows, theme sync and isolated event streams remain available.
Install the VSIX and run Developer: Reload Window.
HAPI Chat 0.5.2: fix queued messages across multiple websites
Fix persistent Queued messages and disabled queue controls when many websites from one HAPI hub are open.
Native HAPI websites keep two long-lived event streams. A shared HTTP/1 loopback origin could exhaust Chromium's six connection slots, leaving message POSTs waiting before reaching the hub. Each open website instance now has an independent loopback origin, including retained sidebar chats and duplicate native panels. Saved tokens still sign in automatically, and closing a page releases its adapter without stopping the agent.
Keeps per-hub Proxy settings and HAPI Chat tab icons from 0.5.1.
Validated with 28 tests, a headless browser with ten retained website frames and eight successful browser message POSTs, and real VS Code host checks with two persistent streams per mock website. The real Persona hub was checked read-only. No real agent sessions were created or restarted.
After installation, run Developer: Reload Window to load the fix. Browser requests that were still blocked locally may need to be sent again after checking conversation history. The extension never automatically replays messages with an uncertain outcome.
