Changes

  • Refactored apprun3.py
  • AppContext now fully supports Format 3 bundle
  • Bug fixed for accumulated mount points for Format 3
  • Process names will follow based on meta's name, or fallback to last component of bundle ID

Future plans

  • Planned for completion of aggressive deprecation of Format 1, 2 on PR5 at latest.
  • Planned for localization implementation on PR5 at latest.
  • Planned for localization utility on 3.3

Aggressive deprecation roadmap

  • Command apprun will now be renamed to apprun-legacy. (Planned for PR2)
  • Command apprun3 will be renamed to apprun, and then symbolic linked back to apprun3 without fallback to apprun-legacy.(Planned for PR2)
  • DropIn service will use Format 3. (Planned for PR2)
  • Library AppContext will drop support all code and branches related to Format 1 and 2 (Planned for PR3)
  • Commands, libraries, dependencies related to Format 1 and 2 (including utilities and apprun-legacy) will be removed (Planned for PR4)
  • Documentations about Format 1 and 2 will be archived (Planned for PR4)
  • Stability check and fixes (Planned for PR5)
