starting a new game called " SURROUNDED 2.0 "

i am still at the base of the game, but, i found a problem. i try to put a ladder so that the personnage would go up to the superior plat form, but the personnage won't go up; i tried to put smaller blocks to try and jump, but i cannot jump.
