OpenBar v0.1.0

OpenBar continues Headroom's menu-bar quota monitoring in a native AppKit app.

Install

brew install --cask 4nkitd/tap/openbar
open -a OpenBar

Or download OpenBar-0.1.0-macos-arm64.zip, unzip it, and move OpenBar.app into Applications. Requires Apple Silicon and macOS 13 Ventura or later.

Included

  • Direct HTTP usage integrations for Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode Go, GitHub Copilot and Antigravity.
  • Multiple named accounts with independent credentials, quota readings and refresh state.
  • Compact progress bars, expandable quota windows and reset timers.
  • Used or remaining percentages, threshold notifications, and launch at login.
  • Local Keychain storage for entered tokens and Google OAuth client configuration. No embedded client secrets or third-party backend.
  • Non-interactive background Keychain reads, per-account retry delays and stale-data handling.

Moving from Headroom

Quit Headroom and disable its launch-at-login entry before switching. headroom disable handles CLI installations. Configure your accounts in OpenBar's Integrations settings. Headroom widgets, notch HUD and preferences are not migrated.

Notes

  • This build is ad-hoc signed, not notarized. If macOS blocks it, use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway after verifying the download source.
  • Google OAuth refresh requires local client configuration. Protected legacy sign-ins may need explicit authorization or a credential file.
  • GitHub's internal Copilot quota endpoint does not accept every personal access token.
  • Sparkle automatic updates are not configured. Upgrade through Homebrew.

The attached SHA-256 file can be used to verify the ZIP download. No credentials or personal account data are included in the release.
