You can now specify what channels the tracks will use.
image
Use the format of min-max. If you want to use just one channel use ch-ch.
Examples:

  • 1-15: Tracks will be added cycling from channels 1 to 15.
  • 4-7: Tracks will be added cycling from channels 4 to 7.
  • 16-16: Tracks will only be added on channel 16.

The end result will look like this

Note: The Drum check box has been moved to the Additional Settings menu accessible by the cog icon at the bottom. Channel 10 will still be skipped as expected.

Faster creation + QOL updates

no longer depends on gomidi/midi/v2, and now uses custom code

this allows me to only parse the data i need to, instead of reading the whole midi which was what gomidi was doing. so now it is substantially faster (enable timer in settings to check how fast)

this update also now appends the midi file if a existing midi file was given. this adds tracks straight to the midi, instead of making a copy with the edits. so now there is not an input and output option, just an output option which handles both cases

finally, the file dialog is now using the native explorer dialog instead of fyne's custom dialog. this is not only because fyne's dialog looked kind of bad, but because when choosing an existing file fyne would completely overwrite the file with empty data, which is not good. so now it only warns you of overwriting but does not change the data. allows me to actually make edits

ok thats enough rambling on, enjoy.

no more cli! just gui. why? it makes my life easier

no improvements on the actual functional part, just made a gui using fyne.io to make the gui in go. this is just to keep things organized and simple. and its a smaller size than the original GUI, so thats an improvement.

please report any bugs/issues you come across, thanks

You MUST download CLI. Place cli in the same directory as the gui exe and then you can use gui. Or just use the cli varient, its really up to you
