First release: Silent Hill 4: The Room running natively on a Switch, in widescreen (1280x720 by default).
You need the GOG PC version of the game. This NRO contains no game data; it runs with your own copy's files next to it.
Install
- Make
/switch/sh4-nx/on your SD card and putsh4-nx.nroin it. - From your GOG install, copy
SILENT HILL 4.exethere, renamed tosh4.exe. Also copyinput.ini,sh4_caps.dat, and thedata,demoandsoundfolders.movieis optional (the FMVs are skipped for now). - Make an empty
savefolder next to them. - Launch it from the homebrew menu in title takeover mode (hold R while starting an installed game), not from the album.
tools/make_sd.py in the repository lays out the folder for you. The README shows how to put it on the home screen with an NSP forwarder.
Options
You can add an sh4.ini next to the NRO:
resolution=WxHsets the screen size. A 4:3 size such as640x480turns widescreen off.log=1writessh4.log.
If the game crashes, attach sh4-crash.log and sh4.log to an issue.
Known issues
- FMVs are skipped.
