Inko 1.1.2 fixes package loading and conversion errors reported against the old npm release. Install or update with npm install inko@1.1.2.

Fixes

  • Correct the npm entry point so Node.js, bundlers, and Vitest can load the package (#44; includes #36).
  • Convert standalone compound consonants correctly, including ㅁㄴㅇㄻㄴㅇㄹ → asdfasdf (#26; includes #30 and #32).
  • Keep en2ko and ko2en bound to their instance when destructured or used as callbacks (#39).
  • Support the constructor call without new shown in older documentation.
  • Correct TypeScript declarations for CommonJS and ESM consumers and fix strict-mode Web Worker initialization.
  • Render the browser example's output as plain text.

Maintenance

  • Remove the runtime Mocha dependency from npm 1.1.1. Inko now installs with zero runtime dependencies (#29).
  • Replace the obsolete Gulp/Babel toolchain, refresh the lockfile, and rebuild the browser bundle and source map.
  • Add package artifact checks, Node.js 22/24/26 CI, updated CircleCI checks, Dependabot updates, and release documentation.
  • Supersede the nine old dependency PRs #31, #33, #34, #35, #37, #40, #41, #42, and #43.

Verification

The package downloaded from npm passes all artifact checks, and its eight files match release commit f954ca12868133c7c3338c9d31e014505090f3a1. All 16 tests pass, including a round trip of all 11,172 modern Hangul syllables. Package checks cover CommonJS, ESM, TypeScript, browser globals, AMD, Web Workers, and source maps. The refreshed dependency tree has zero reported npm audit vulnerabilities.

Three-set keyboard support (#11) and contextual www. correction (#23) remain open feature requests. The default two-set keyboard mapping is unchanged.

Implementation: #45. CI action updates: #46 and #47. README badge improvements: #48.
