TUI scroll-follow fix

  • Press Ctrl+End to jump to the latest output and resume following after scrolling. The old Ctrl+Shift+Down shortcut remains supported when your terminal forwards it; Windows Terminal normally reserves it for its own scrolling.
  • Keep custom shortcuts working and hide the follow hint when its binding is disabled.
  • Verified with the real TUI under psmux: keyboard/mouse scrolling, incoming output, and unsent draft preservation. All 219 TUI tests passed.

Windows kernel and TUI fixes

This updated v0.2.0 build includes PR #219, PR #220, PR #221, and PR #222, released from commit f32b330b79494acfa9e2f72b6cf66815a33050ac.

  • Automatically provision the Windows Python sandbox on first use with Windows UAC consent. Wait for the interpreter and dependency read/execute grants before starting Python, including installs under AppData. Canceling or failing setup prevents that sandboxed kernel from starting.
  • Show a visible startup error if Python is unavailable, instead of silently leaving local execution tools unavailable.
  • Re-running the Windows online installer compares the verified app checksum, so this rebuilt v0.2.0 also repairs existing installations while reusing unchanged cached runtimes.
  • Include the Windows sandbox setup and command-runner helpers in TUI archives, online installs, and Desktop packages. Rerunning the Windows installer detects and repairs earlier v0.2.0 installations missing these helpers.
  • Give Python kernels their own temporary directory, avoiding slow Windows permission updates across shared temporary folders. The published Windows build restarted its sandboxed Python kernel in 0.46 seconds. First-use setup in a large workspace took 39-43 seconds, primarily applying its initial Git permission rules; subsequent launches reuse that setup.
  • Keep steering submitted during streamed responses in the active turn, with separate assistant messages. Enter steers; Alt+Enter queues.
  • Discover Git Bash in custom Windows installation locations.
  • Fix kernel completion notifications and bound snapshot staging retries after permission failures.

Updated v0.2.0 build

Linux terminal downloads use the following public names:

  • devo-tui-v0.2.0-x86_64-linux-musl.tar.gz
  • devo-tui-v0.2.0-aarch64-linux-musl.tar.gz

The online app, runtime packs, and installation indexes use the same clean Linux platform names. The installer also supports older releases with the previous filenames.

Replacing an earlier v0.2.0 installation: close running Devo clients, then re-run the Windows online installer below. It detects changed app checksums even when the version number is unchanged. For offline Windows installs, extract the new complete archive and run its included install.ps1 -Offline. On Linux/macOS, use the new complete archive with sh ./install.sh --offline. For Desktop, run the new graphical installer. Configuration and credentials are retained.

Install

The online installer downloads the app and caches checksum-pinned private Node/Python runtime packs for reuse across upgrades. No system Node.js, Python, npm, pip, or Rust installation is required. Complete terminal archives remain self-contained and portable; keep their extracted files together.

Terminal archives use the devo-tui- prefix; graphical installers use devo-desktop-. The terminal command remains devo.

For offline installation, transfer the complete archive and use its included installer with --offline (Unix) or -Offline (Windows). Cloud inference still requires connectivity; use a compatible preloaded local or LAN model for disconnected use.
