v0.0.6: Full Localization & Internationalization

This is a major feature update that introduces full localization, making the tool more accessible to a global audience. The application now fully supports both English and Traditional Chinese and allows for dynamic, on-the-fly language switching.

✨ What's New in This Release

  • New Language Switcher: You can now instantly switch between English and Traditional Chinese via a dropdown menu in the top-right corner. All UI elements, logs, and messages will update immediately.
  • Automatic Language Detection: The application now detects your OS language on startup and sets the appropriate language by default for a seamless first-time experience.
  • Internationalized Documentation: The main README.md has been updated to be English-first, with a separate link to the Traditional Chinese documentation to better serve our international users.
  • Bilingual Installer Prompts: The system version check message during installation now displays in both English and Chinese for improved clarity.
  • Updated Demo Image: The preview image has been updated to showcase the new language switching feature.

🛠️ Installation Instructions

⚠️ Important Prerequisite: .NET 8 Desktop Runtime

This tool requires the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime to function.

While the installer will prompt you to download it if it's missing, you can also install it manually beforehand for a smoother experience:

For First-Time Users

  1. Ensure you have the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime installed.
  2. Download the XboxFullscreenExperienceTool-0.0.6.msi file from the Assets section below.
  3. Run the installer and follow the on-screen prompts.

For Existing Users

You do not need to uninstall the previous version.

  1. Ensure you have the .NET 8 Desktop Runtime installed.
  2. Simply run the new XboxFullscreenExperienceTool-0.0.6.msi installer. It will automatically upgrade your existing installation to v0.0.6.

🛠️ 安裝說明

首次安裝的使用者

  2. 從下方的 Assets 區塊下載 XboxFullscreenExperienceTool-0.0.6.msi 檔案。
  3. 執行安裝程式，依提示完成安裝。
