Anyway. What I'm suggesting is a spot to put a little blurb about what a particular folder does. It was inspired by the sharex folder showing no files, and it not being immediately obvious what to do if you're not the one setting up the server.

For illustration, this is what I imagine it might look like:

this can currently be done by placing the description text inside a file named readme.md inside the sharex folder; alternatively, the file can be named .epilogue.html to make it a hidden file.

if you want to protect this file from getting deleted or edited then you could sudo chattr +i readme.md to make the file immutable, impossible to edit or delete with copyparty. To undo that, sudo chattr -i readme.md turns it back into a regular file.
