DeepPaperNote v2.3.1 connects paper collection with deep reading: save a PDF while browsing, then turn it into a note in the same Obsidian paper folder.

DeepPaperNote Connector is now open source. Use it to save paper PDFs from Chrome into Obsidian, then hand a saved PDF to DeepPaperNote when you are ready to study it.
Connector is optional and currently supports Chrome on macOS. You can still give DeepPaperNote a title, DOI, URL, or local PDF directly.
📚 Keep paper versions together
- Reuse PDFs already in your Vault instead of downloading them again when a matching copy is available.
- Keep different PDF versions and their corresponding notes and figures in the same paper folder.
- If it is unclear which folder or PDF to use, DeepPaperNote asks you to choose. If you request a specific arXiv version, it follows that choice.
- Preserve existing notes and links. Replacing an existing note still requires your confirmation.
The English and Chinese READMEs now include a dedicated Connector introduction and installation link.
This release also fixes reading and saving archived PDFs with newer PyMuPDF releases.
