Release list
v0.2.1
Fixes the macOS app being reported as "damaged". v0.1.0 and v0.2.0 shipped with a broken code signature, so a downloaded copy of the Mac app was reported as "damaged and can't be opened" on other Macs. This release signs the app properly. There are no feature changes from v0.2.0.
Downloads
- macOS (Apple Silicon):
YGO.Combo.Solver-0.2.1-arm64.dmg - Windows (x64):
YGO.Combo.Solver.Setup.0.2.1.exe
First launch on macOS
The app isn't notarized with Apple yet, so macOS says it "could not verify" it the first time. To open it:
- Click Done.
- Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Click Open Anyway next to the message about YGO Combo Solver.
You only do this once. On Windows, SmartScreen shows a warning: choose More info → Run anyway.
Upgrading
Install over the top of your current version. Your settings and run history are kept. See the install guide for details.
AGPL-3.0-or-later.
v0.2.0
Warning
Known issue (macOS): this release's Mac app has a broken signature and is reported as "damaged" when downloaded. Use v0.2.1 or later.
Second release. Existing installs upgrade by installing over the top — your settings and run history are preserved. This version also adds an in-app update check, so from here on the app tells you when a new version is out.
Downloads
- macOS (Apple Silicon):
YGO.Combo.Solver-0.2.0-arm64.dmg - Windows (x64):
YGO.Combo.Solver.Setup.0.2.0.exe
Installers are unsigned — expect the usual warnings (macOS: right-click → Open; Windows SmartScreen: More info → Run anyway). Requires a local EDOPro install. See the Installation guide.
What's new
- Stop keeps your results. Stopping a run now asks the solver to finish up and write everything it found so far, instead of throwing it away. The button is one click — "Stop & collect results".
- Max solutions field — raise the ceiling on how many solutions a run writes (default 16).
- In-app update check — a dismissible banner when a newer release is available.
- Clearer, calmer health banners — the reliable signals (faithful-replay MSG_RETRY, self-checks) stand out; advisory notes are informational grey; enumerator-coverage gaps now show as an honest warning ("the search space is incomplete") instead of being mislabeled; only genuine failures show red.
- Under the hood: the bundled solver gained
--max-written, a graceful-stop signal, and a machine-readable--jsonevent stream the app now reads for status.
Note on "Find a cheaper line"
It searches for a way to reach the same end board your replay finished on using fewer cards — so it's most useful on a replay that builds a real board. If your replay ends on an empty or trivial board, the cheapest line is legitimately "do almost nothing", which is correct even if it looks surprising.

v0.1.0 — first release
Warning
Known issue (macOS): this release's Mac app has a broken signature and is reported as "damaged" when downloaded. Use v0.2.1 or later.
The first release of YGO Combo Solver — a desktop GUI for ygo-combo-solver: record a duel in EDOPro, verify it reproduces, and search for cheaper combo lines, lines from other hands or decks, described boards, or lines that survive interruption — then watch the solver's solutions played back in EDOPro.
Downloads
- macOS (Apple Silicon):
YGO.Combo.Solver-0.1.0-arm64.dmg - Windows (x64):
YGO.Combo.Solver.Setup.0.1.0.exe
Both installers are currently unsigned — expect the standard warnings (macOS: right-click → Open; Windows SmartScreen: More info → Run anyway). A local EDOPro installation is required. Start with the Installation & Setup guide, then the User Guide.
Highlights
- Five guided workflows over the solver's CLI: verify a replay, find a cheaper line, solve from another deck/hand, build a described board, test against interruption — with a full extra-arguments escape hatch to every solver flag.
- Card search backed by your EDOPro install's own databases; exact-passcode submission, no ambiguous-name errors.
- First-class health surfacing: the MSG_RETRY faithful-replay gate, self-check results, and ignored-flag warnings.
- Live search status, ranked results (fewest cards burned first), one-click open-in-EDOPro, and full run history with duplicate-and-tweak.
- The bundled solver is built natively per platform from a pinned, provenance-tracked commit of the maintained fork — including the macOS (arm64) port with fault-handler dirty-page tracking, cross-checked byte-for-byte against the Windows build.
