An early development release of Ship of Harkinian for New Nintendo 3DS / New Nintendo 2DS XL, built from commit 4dbb8d893de9a993a393801949fc00d216d303d5 (the latest main at release preparation).

Downloads

  • soh-3ds.cia — recommended installation through FBI. Requests the extended memory needed by the game.
  • soh-3ds.3dsx — development Homebrew Launcher build. Place in /3ds/soh/ on your SD card. It does not have the CIA's extended-memory configuration and may fail to run the full game.
  • SHA256SUMS.txt — checksums for the downloads and QR image.

Install with FBI

On your New 3DS, open FBI → Remote Install → Scan QR Code, scan the image below, then follow FBI's installation prompts. The QR links directly to this release's CIA.

Scan with FBI to install the CIA

You can also download the CIA to your SD card and install it with FBI's file browser.

First-run setup

Supply your own supported Ocarina of Time ROM; no game ROM or extracted game archive is included. Copy an uncompressed .z64, .n64, or .v64 ROM to /3ds/soh/ on the SD card, then launch the game. Setup validates the ROM and generates the archive on the console.

On-device extraction can take a long time. Keep the console connected to power and let setup finish without closing the app or removing the SD card. Successful later launches reuse the generated archive.

To skip game extraction, use compatible desktop Ship of Harkinian to generate oot.o2r (or oot-mq.o2r for Master Quest), then copy it into /3ds/soh/. This build validates against SoH archive version 9.2.3. Legacy .otr archives are not supported; renaming one does not convert it.

Development status

This is a prerelease: compatibility, performance, and stability can vary. The standard game target is included. The CIA setup flow has prior emulator validation; physical-console extraction timing and FBI QR installation have not been verified for this release. The QR image has been decoded to verify that it contains the direct CIA download URL.
