	`host = "web"` resolves through compose-network DNS to the `web`
	service (Caddy), bypassing HAProxy. `proxy-protocol = true` matches
	Caddy's `:8443` listener wrapper so the real client IP still
	propagates to Caddy's logs.
	Requires mtg ≥ 2.4 — hostname acceptance for the fronting target was
	added in #480.

We are referring to nonexistent release here, could we make one?

Thanks for catching this — the "≥ 2.4" reference is my mistake (added in 0fdf6cb when I optimistically assumed a release was imminent). Opened #512 to replace it with an honest pointer to #480 plus a "build from master until the next release ships" note, which stays correct regardless of when the tag lands.

Cutting a release itself is @9seconds' call, of course. Just to give him the data in one place — user-facing changes accumulated on master since v2.2.8 (2026-04-07):
