Highlights

  • Editable Writer text boxes — insert isolated text boxes from the Insert ribbon, then edit bounded millimeter geometry, inline/floating placement, offsets, fill, outline, padding, and vertical alignment in a contextual ribbon.
  • One rendering projection — the same state drives live editing, preview, PDF capture, and keep-together pagination on desktop and phone layouts.
  • Native DOCX round trip — supported wps:wsp shapes with txBox="1" retain text, geometry, placement, styling, body padding, vertical anchor, and deterministic drawing identities. Mixed or malformed DrawingML remains on the normal compatibility path with explicit diagnostics.

Verification

The release candidate passed the full CI gate: 2304 library tests, 448 visual contracts, WebKit IME checks, Rust workspace check/tests, PDFium layout tests, package build, and npm inspection.
