Visualisation portal

Overview

The web visualisation portal of PHARES provides an interactive user interface to access forecasts and hydro-climatic risk information produced in PHARES.

The visualisation portal provides information from multiple models (see the currently implemented operational forecast chains) and multiple variables (such as flood hazard severity levels, streamflow, precipitation), for both current and pas forecast issue dates.

The portal provides maps for spatial oveview of the situation in all hydrologic catchments across the selected geographic domain, and graps for more detailed time series for specific selected catchments. Catchments can be selected by navigating in the map, or by selecting a bookmarked location (e.g. a hydrometric station), or by defining a coodinate of interest.

The web visualisation portal uses standard input formats (currently shapefiles, GeoPackages and NetCDF files). The portal is built with the visualisation tool HyVis developed by SMHI.
