What's Changed
[0.8.6] - 2026-09-15
Fixed a bug where tasks missed while your PC was off could stay unfired
forever, plus a few small quality-of-life touches.
Fixed
- Missed tasks now catch up reliably. If your PC was off when a task was
scheduled to run (for example, a daily 9:00 task and you booted at 11:00),
Heka now fires it on startup — and, in some situations it could previously
be skipped over even though the logs said "0 caught up", it now catches up
every time. Reopen your machine late with confidence: missed work runs
without you needing to press anything. - No duplicate runs on boot. Schedules also feel more predictable
right after startup: a task won't accidentally be fired twice when the
boot lands exactly on its scheduled minute, and a fresh boot won't re-fire
a task that hasn't come due yet — it runs again at its next normal time. - Tasks missed across multiple days now fire exactly once, as intended.
Changed
- Removed the "App tour" card from Settings → Appearance. The tour is
still available from the About page, and still plays automatically on
first launch.
