Text Helper 2.0.2

Requires Blender 5.2+.

Highlights

  • Auto-Show Floating Toolbar preference (default on): control whether the HUD appears automatically when a text object is selected.
  • HUD visibility fix: closing auto-show no longer leaves saved \ h_hud_visible\ state showing the HUD after load; manual Show/Hide is tracked via \ h_hud_user_shown.
  • Extension review polish: remove runtime side effects from panel \poll\ and draw handler; bootstrap HUD on first lazy subscriber activation.
  • Packaging: exclude \RELEASE_NOTES*.md\ from extension zip; defer font preview cache cleanup until first preview use.

Install

  1. Download \TextHelper-2.0.2.zip\ below
  2. Blender: Edit → Preferences → Get Extensions → Install from Disk…
  3. Enable Text Helper
