Grid Text Worker 0.3.5

This release redesigns the local worker manager for a clearer setup and operations experience.

Highlights

  • Responsive setup, dashboard, and settings UI
  • Honest restart handling: failed restarts are surfaced instead of reported as successful
  • Shared dashboard polling to reduce duplicate local API traffic
  • Vendored Alpine.js runtime; the authenticated local manager no longer executes CDN JavaScript
  • Local system fonts; no Google Fonts dependency
  • Four locked, native-smoke-tested platform builds
  • SHA-256 checksums, SPDX SBOM, release manifest, and GitHub provenance attestations

Platform trust notice

The Windows and macOS applications are currently unsigned. Their signing state is recorded in worker-release.json.

  • Windows: SmartScreen may warn about an unrecognized app. Select More info then Run anyway only after verifying the checksum.
  • macOS: Gatekeeper may block the first launch. Control-click the app and choose Open, or use System Settings > Privacy & Security > Open Anyway, only after verifying the checksum.
  • Linux: Make the downloaded binary executable with chmod +x.

Verify downloaded files against SHA256SUMS before running them. Published release assets are immutable; any correction will use a new version.
