macOS: download AV.Dexed.0.2.1.macOS.dmg below (macOS 11 or later, Intel and Apple silicon). The installer lets you choose the app, VST3, AU and CLAP.

AV Dexed is not signed or notarized by Apple yet, so macOS blocks a plain double-click. Open 1 - HOW TO OPEN - CÓMO ABRIR.txt in the disk image first:

  • macOS 14 or earlier: right-click the .pkg → Open → Open.
  • macOS 15 or later: double-click the .pkg and close the message, then System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.

Windows: download AVDexed-0.2.1-win.exe below (Windows 10 or 11, x64; tested on Windows 11). Its first step chooses English or Spanish; then you choose the app, VST3 and CLAP. The installer is not signed yet: if Windows says "Windows protected your PC", click More info → Run anyway.

Your sounds and settings are never touched by the installer or the uninstaller. Installing 0.2.1 over 0.2.0 is fine.

Sound expansions: AV-Dexed-Expansions.zip below, the same 7 free banks as in 0.2.0. Unzip it, drag the AV Dexed Expansions folder onto AV Dexed, type a name for the folder and click Import.

What's new in 0.2.1

  • Drag .avdexpreset sounds onto AV Dexed, one by one or several at once, and whole folders of them (also mixed with .syx banks).
  • A sound that is already in your library no longer loads in silence: the footer says "Ya estaba en «folder»" (it was already there).
  • When you drop files, AV Dexed (or your DAW) comes to the front, so the folder question is not hidden behind the Finder.
  • Settings no longer blocks a drop: it gives way and the files are imported.
  • macOS: open sounds, banks and folders from the Finder or the Dock (double-click, drop on the Dock icon, "Open With").

The code is free (GPL v3 or later): you can review it or build it yourself from this repository. Linux: build from source.

El instalador y el desinstalador nunca tocan tus sonidos ni tus ajustes. Puedes instalar 0.2.1 encima de 0.2.0.

Expansiones de sonidos: AV-Dexed-Expansions.zip aquí abajo, los mismos 7 bancos gratis de 0.2.0. Descomprímelo, arrastra la carpeta AV Dexed Expansions a AV Dexed, escribe un nombre para la carpeta y haz clic en Import.

Novedades de 0.2.1

  • Arrastra sonidos .avdexpreset a AV Dexed, uno o varios a la vez, y carpetas completas (también mezclados con bancos .syx).
  • Un sonido que ya estaba en tu biblioteca ya no carga en silencio: abajo aparece «Ya estaba en «carpeta»».
  • Al soltar archivos, AV Dexed (o tu DAW) pasa al frente, así la pregunta de la carpeta no queda escondida detrás del Finder.
  • Ajustes ya no bloquea el arrastre: cede el paso y los archivos se importan.
  • macOS: abre sonidos, bancos y carpetas desde el Finder o el Dock (doble clic, soltar en el ícono del Dock, «Abrir con»).

Unzip it, drag the AV Dexed Expansions folder (or the 7 .syx files together) onto AV Dexed, the app or the plug-in, type a name for the folder and click Import. The banks appear in the sound browser, organized in that folder.

What's new in 0.2.0

  • The sound library is made of real folders: every folder on disk is a folder of the browser, and the other way round. Import banks (.syx), sounds (.avdexpreset) and whole folders.
  • Each sound keeps its own volume, pan, cutoff and effects, also the voices of a .syx bank.
  • Bank voices load exactly as in Dexed 1.1.0 (0.1.0 left some voices nearly silent).
  • MIDI learn for the previous/next sound arrows, MIDI CC1 → Cutoff (inverted) by default, keyboard C2–C7, new app icon, all dialogs inside the editor.
  • First Windows version (VST3, CLAP and standalone app with ASIO).

Expansiones de sonidos: descarga AV-Dexed-Expansions.zip aquí abajo: 7 bancos gratis (bajos, campanas, metales, pianos eléctricos, efectos, guitarras y pianos; formato DX7, 32 sonidos cada uno). Descomprímelo, arrastra la carpeta AV Dexed Expansions (o los 7 archivos .syx juntos) a AV Dexed, la aplicación o el plugin, escribe un nombre para la carpeta y haz clic en Import. Los bancos aparecen en el navegador de sonidos, organizados en esa carpeta.

Novedades de 0.2.0

  • La biblioteca de sonidos son carpetas reales: cada carpeta en el disco es una carpeta del navegador, y al revés. Importa bancos (.syx), sonidos (.avdexpreset) y carpetas completas.
  • Cada sonido guarda su propio volumen, pan, cutoff y efectos, también las voces de un banco .syx.
  • Las voces de los bancos cargan igual que en Dexed 1.1.0 (0.1.0 dejaba algunas voces casi sin sonido).
  • MIDI learn para las flechas de sonido anterior/siguiente, MIDI CC1 → Cutoff (invertido) de fábrica, teclado C2–C7, ícono nuevo y todos los diálogos dentro del editor.
  • Primera versión para Windows (VST3, CLAP y aplicación con ASIO).
