Version 24T3
54th Release of CPE Language
Highlights
- Dropped Support for PaleMoon and removed the required CSS fallbacks for that browser as well
- Introduced CPE Language 6.0.0 with the following changes:
- Better Mouse and Touch support
- Slightly different semantics
- Switched all uses of the legacy color syntax to the modern ones (Which the unsupported PaleMoon can understand). The old syntax can no longer be used with RGB variables any longer as they're now space-separated values
- Buttons, Inputs and Dropdowns and are now more compact for mouse users.
- Added support for using APCA guidelines for color contrast, disabled by default
- As a result, some dynamic dark themes have been edited to have lighter hyperlink colors, only to be still dark.
- Should you encounter a bug, report it.
- With APCA, you can see lighter generic colors in Light Mode compared with WCAG. Color contrasts of 3.0 and 4.5 in the latter guidelines correspond to 45 and 60 in the former ones.
- Changed how contrast levels behave, and now plays nicely with APCA contrast rules
- Made autocolorization of Active Text and Active Caption colors contain a 30deg hue shift, to match Material Design 3 even more
- Bundled almost all fonts that weren't bundled with CPE Language but were with Evelution
- Brileback Xtreme, Evelution Terminal, Evelution Sans, Level and PowerPlus fonts are now bundled as well
- Margins on Floating Button group buttons have been replaced with the
gapproperty inside the Floating Button group itself. This allows developers to hide the very first button without leaving a gap to the top - Updated Chroma.js library to version 3.1.0 to enable APCA. This will be regularly updated for more APCA updates
