Keeps up with itself

Home data now arrives as it happens. The app holds one live connection to the Trove API, so the chaos chest, player activity, news and giveaways refresh the moment they actually change instead of on a timer — and hopping back to Home no longer re-fetches everything each visit.

The mods folder is watched. Add, update or remove a mod outside the app — Trovesaurus' own client, or a plain copy into the folder — and the Mod Manager list catches up on its own, with no loading spinner and no interference with anything you have running. Mod configs are reconciled at launch too, so a mod dropped in while the app was closed is ready before you ever open the Mod Manager.

Update checks tell the truth after an update. Overwriting a mod file in place leaves the folder's timestamp untouched on Windows, so a mod you had just updated could keep showing "update available". Refresh also looks past the cached release list now, so a release published while the app was open actually shows up.
