Release list
v1.0.4 - inspection then hardware, and the plugin updates' progress, in Arabic
- os-xgs-npu's "Cut in hardware" on XGS: Settings, and its help (القطع في العتاد) (#22).
- "Inspect, then hardware" on XGS: Settings, and its help (الفحص ثم العتاد): each new connection the
coprocessor carries inspected by the Intrusion Detection before the hardware carries the rest (#23). - XGS: Updates, Plugins: the steps of a plugin's update - في الانتظار، سؤال GitHub - what each says while
it runs, "Update all" (تحديث الكل) and its question, and the web GUI restarting while the page goes on
(#23). "Queued" has its own entry, apart from the reports' "Waiting". - The flow maker's help no longer saying that Suricata's inline IPS and the offload are one or the other
(#24).
With os-xgs-npu #702, #703 and #704. Tested on the XGS 136: the Security tab and the
Plugins tab in Arabic, right to left, from the installed catalogue.
v1.0.3 - nothing leaves an appliance unless its owner chooses, in Arabic
- os-xgs-npu's question on XGS: Overview - nothing leaves this appliance unless you choose - in Arabic:
the question, the model's tested status (طراز يُبنى عليه المشروع ويُقاس، أو لم يُجرَّب في المشروع
قط), "Help it get better" (ساهم في تطويره), and its two answers, أرسل التقارير واحتسب هذا الجهاز and
أبقِ كل شيء هنا (#20, #21). - The header's notice for an appliance whose problem reports wait to be sent and which is not counted.
- The help of the reports' mode (Manual, the default), of the count (off unless turned on) and of the
flow maker, which says that Suricata's inline IPS and the offload are, for now, one or the other. - "When the fast path stops" on os-xgs-npu's settings and the Overview's Fast path line, with its help
for the XGS 136's heartbeat (#18, #19). - An appliance carries what it reads: the documentation, the workflows and the repository's tools
left out of the archive it downloads (#17).
With os-xgs-npu v0.1.0-alpha.5.5. Tested on the second XGS 3300: the page in Arabic read every new
string from the installed catalogue, right to left.
v1.0.2
v1.0.2 - the plugins' shared words, each read where it is used
- "turned off", a service's state beside "stopped" (متوقف) on the fan control and front panel pages,
is مُطفأ now - masculine as the word beside it (#16). - os-frontpanel's keys card has its own two strings, "being read" (تُقرأ) and "not being read"
(لا تُقرأ), so "read" and "not read" keep their meaning elsewhere: قُرئ (was read) and لم يُقرأ (has
not been read). With os-frontpanel v1.0.2. - The other words two plugins had translated differently were read where they are used and hold:
up, down and no link (متصل، منقطع، غير متصل), not recorded (غير مسجّل), Chip (الشريحة).
Tested on the second XGS 3300: every one of these strings read back from the installed catalogue.
v1.0.1
v1.0.1 - the Sophos XGS plugins' Arabic in this catalogue
- The Arabic of the pages of os-xgs-npu, os-fanctl, os-linkhealth, os-frontpanel and os-netreport
is in this catalogue now, with the rest of the GUI: 1,254 strings added from the plugins' own
tables, 15,721 in all (#15, which closed issue 5). - A string this catalogue already translated kept its Arabic, as the plugins' merges always left
it. Seven strings two plugins translated differently, which appliances showed according to which
plugin merged first, have one Arabic each now. - The plugins' releases of 2026-10-22 merge nothing into the catalogue: install this release with
them. A plugin of an older release still merges its own table, harmlessly. - os-linkhealth's terminology notes moved here (i18n/glossary-os-linkhealth.json).
Tested on the XGS 136 and the second XGS 3300 with the plugins' new releases: the installed
catalogue is this one byte for byte, every plugin's strings in Arabic, and the same after a reboot.
v1.0
v1.0 - the first release
A complete Arabic (ar_SA) translation of the OPNsense 26.7 web interface: 14,467 strings
covering the core GUI, the plugins that ship with it, the menus, forms, help texts, validation
messages and dashboard widgets.
- install.sh puts the catalog in place and Arabic in the language list; the GUI stays in the
language it was set to until Arabic is chosen in System: Settings: General. - Kept across OPNsense updates: a pkg trigger puts the language list entry back the moment an
update replaces system.inc, and a boot hook covers anything else. - Follows this repository's releases by itself: once a day it takes the latest release when it is
ahead of what is installed, and never goes back. - uninstall.sh removes all of it, the self-update and the trigger first.
