v1.0.5 - the page follows the XGS section

  • The page goes in the XGS section when os-xgs-npu is installed - among
the appliance's pages, in OPNsense's order - and under Interfaces when it is
not; os-xgs-npu moves it when it is installed or removed

v1.0.4 - each port's MAC address

  • Each port's MAC address in the Ports table, after the interface, and in the port's detail
(#42): the status document carries it now. On a narrow window the column goes with the
neighbours and the transceiver. Tested on the XGS 136 and the second XGS 3300 - every port with
its address in the status document, the column read in the browser on the XGS 136.
  • The package below is built from this tag by the release workflow; install/install.sh installs
the same files from a copy of the repository.

v1.0.3 - the installer's check works without a network

  • The installer's string check reads the Arabic catalogue installed on the appliance before the
network (#40, fixes #39): an offline first boot from a ready-made image printed a traceback (an
XGS 126, AbdelmonemAwad/os-xgs-npu#661). Measured on the XGS 136 with the network cut: 15,745
entries read from the installed catalogue, all 58 data strings mapped and translated.
  • The archive an appliance installs from leaves out the documentation, the workflows and the
repository's tools, keeping the one tool the check imports (#37, #38).
  • The package below is built from this tag by the release workflow; install/install.sh installs
the same files from a copy of the repository.

v1.0.2 - the Arabic in opnsense-arabic

  • The page's and the alerts' Arabic is in opnsense-arabic's catalogue (#35, with opnsense-arabic
v1.0.1): this plugin merges nothing into the GUI's catalogues any more, and the installer removes
the merge, its boot hook and its pkg trigger an earlier release left. The alerts read the same
catalogue, so they are in Arabic where opnsense-arabic is installed.
  • Tested on the XGS 136 and the second XGS 3300.
  • The package below is built from this tag by the release workflow; install/install.sh installs
the same files from a copy of the repository.

v1.0.1

Immutable release. Only release title and notes can be modified.

v1.0.1 - a boot is not a flap

  • A link change within 180 seconds of its own boot is no longer counted as the link going down
and coming back: every boot takes each port down and up while its driver attaches. Measured on
an XGS 136 whose Port3 read "failing, 18 times in the last hour" after six boots in an hour, on
a link that never left outside them; counted this way, once (#33).
  • Since v1.0: every Sophos XGS board and FleXi module generated from the vendor's board files,
identify on the XGS 3300 and on expansion modules, summary cards on the Ports page, Arabic for
the widget, and no daily self-update - a release is installed from XGS: Updates or by hand.
  • The package below is built from this tag by the release workflow; install/install.sh installs
the same files from a copy of the repository.

v1.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 16 Oct 15:54
58dc0c4

v1.0 - the first release

Watches every physical port and says which cable or transceiver is going bad, by the name printed
on the chassis: error counters against a baseline, transceiver readings, alerts, history and a
dashboard widget. Interfaces: Link Health.

  • The package below is built from this tag by the release workflow; install/install.sh installs
the same files from a copy of the repository.
  • Its GUI strings are merged into every installed language, and merged again the moment an
    OPNsense update replaces the catalogs.
  • Follows this repository's releases by itself: once a day it takes the latest release when it is
ahead of what is installed, and never goes back.
