10 Steps for a Successful Deployment

1. Ensure all tasks are complete
2. Update Changelog
3. Update version number for backup Docker image in deploy.yml and in package.json
4. Locally build (npm run serve) and test - ensure no errors and successful compilation
5. Locally run docker image (docker-compose up) and test - ensure no errors and successful compilation
6. Create a PR and carry out self code-review
7. Once satisfied with code implementation, merge that bad boy!
8. Monitor GitHub Actions pipeline
9. While monitoring the Docker push job in the pipelines, ensure Docker image is pushed to registry in DockerHub
10. Once pipeline is complete, create a new tag with version number specified in the Changelog
