TravStats 2.6.2 — a round of tester reports from the days after 2.6.0, plus the dependency and housekeeping work that had been waiting on the trunk since 2.6.1.
Images: ghcr.io/abrechen2/travstats:2.6.2 (also :latest, :stable) and the Docker Hub mirror abrechen2/travstats:2.6.2. Upgrading: no database migration in this release; a backup before pulling is still the rule.
A round of tester reports from the days after 2.6.0 went out, plus the
dependency and housekeeping work that had been waiting on the trunk since
2.6.1. Nothing here changes how anything is stored.
Fixed
- A half-star rating can be saved. The rating picker in a hotel stay
offers half steps, but the server refused anything below a full star, so
rating breakfast half a star failed the whole save with a red line at the
bottom of the form. Half stars are accepted now, in the editor and in an
import alike. - The per-domain section of the statistics page speaks the reader's
language. "Distance", "Nights", "Places visited" and the rest were German
words written into the code, so an English page showed a German block with
German thousands separators. They are translated now, and the numbers follow
the chosen language. - "Next up" opens the thing it names. Clicking the next hotel led to the
hotel list, not the hotel; a flight belonging to a trip led to the trip. It
now opens the entry's own page. - A closed airport can be found by name. Importing old bookings runs into
airports that no longer exist, and a 2004 confirmation says "Berlin", never
"TXL" — so Berlin-Tegel could not be attached at all. A search can now ask
for closed airports, while an everyday search still leaves them out. The
same search also honours the result limit it always advertised instead of
always returning ten. - A backup archive is compressed even behind a proxy. An instance reached
through a tunnel or reverse proxy served every response uncompressed,
because the web server skips compression for proxied requests unless told
otherwise. Nothing reported it; it simply cost bandwidth.
Added
- Every time zone, not six. Display settings offered Berlin, Paris, UTC,
New York, Los Angeles and Singapore. The list now holds every zone the
browser knows, grouped by region. - A new hotel stay starts in the right currency. The price field always
opened in euros, whatever country the hotel stood in and whatever the
account's own base currency said. It now follows the hotel's country, and
falls back to the account's currency. A saved stay keeps what it was saved
with.
Changed
- Two-factor secrets survive a library upgrade. The one-time-password
library moved three major versions; the new one refuses the shorter secrets
the old one issued, which would have locked every account that had
two-factor switched on. The shorter secrets are still accepted. - A flight lookup that answers unexpectedly is named, not mistaken for a
crash. One flight-data provider occasionally answers with something other
than a list; that used to be logged as a failure and cached. - The image states its licence correctly (AGPL-3.0-or-later), and the
route-distance backfill runs inside the container as documented. - Dependency updates across the frontend and backend, including the
translation runtime, and the rate limiter's handling of IPv6 addresses so
one host can no longer take a fresh bucket per request.
