First public release of Tacet — an empty VST3/CLAP instrument that declares itself as a synth, accepts MIDI, and outputs silence. Drop it into unused GigPerformer synth slots as a near-zero-footprint placeholder instead of loading a full synth.
Verified live in GigPerformer 5 (loads as Instrument/Synth under vendor Kapellmeister, accepts MIDI, stays silent).
Install
Unzip the attached Tacet.vst3 bundle and point your host at it — no installer needed. For GigPerformer without admin rights, drop the bundle in a user-writable folder and add it as a VST3 scan path (see the README). The bundle ships both x64 and ARM64 slices; the host picks its own.
