Thanks! Re-running the provenance check from the b4/b6 threads against the published b7 build (last time it was still against the tag, with the build queued):

That check now runs automatically on every new tag instead of needing a manual pass, so a b4-class mismatch should surface as a task rather than waiting for someone to download binaries.

Two things I noticed on the b7 artifacts while I was there:

• b7 does ship a Tauri updater manifest (latest.json). Its version is 0.14.0-beta.7 — the normalized form, not the 0.14.0b7 tag spelling — and it lists only the standard Tauri artifacts for the five platforms, no -research assets.
• releases/latest/download/latest.json still returns 404, because "latest" resolves to v0.13.2, which predates the manifest. The standard desktop Tauri config points its updater at that path, so the update mechanism goes live for existing standard installs the first time a non-prerelease release ships a latest.json. Worth keeping in mind for the stable v0.14.0 cut — a client sitting on an older version will then be offered the upgrade.

As before: this is build provenance and manifest inspection, not a runtime test of the published installers.
