Place a config like this in your items folder, e.g. items/flame_sword.yml:

flame_sword:
  material: NETHERITE_SWORD
  itemname: Flame Sword
  Mechanics:
    lte:
      # Which LTE template builds this item's lore.
      template: vanilla_extended
      # One entry per variable the template reads.
      variables:
        rarity: legendary
        item_level: '1'
      # One entry per group the template reads.
      groups:
        tags:
        - fire
        - unique
        description:
        - <gold>A blade forged in the depths
        - <gold>of the nether, still smoldering.

How it maps to LTE

The lte: block is the same data you would otherwise set with /lore set:

LTE concept Command equivalent lte: block
Template /lore set template vanilla_extended template
Variable /lore set variable rarity legendary variables
Group /lore set group tags fire unique groups

Putting your own template together

vanilla_extended is a starter template, but you can point template at any template you define in your template config. The variables and groups you list under lte: must match the var and group nodes your template renders. See Variables and Groups for how to define them.

Place a config like this in your items folder, e.g. items/flame_sword.yml:
