Gazer 0.6.2 beta

Signed Windows MSI for testers. The installed Program Files copy uses uiAccess so Gazer can sit above Task Manager and type/click into elevated windows. .\build\Gazer.exe stays unsigned so local builds still launch.

Highlights since 0.6.1 beta

  • Startup splash: frosted overlay walks Menu, Sleep, and the drawer (Next / Previous / Skip). Toggle and replay on Settings → Assist (showSplash).
  • Look-to-scroll: leftover 1-unit SendInput on every gaze sample keeps Chromium/Scintilla wheel latch without dummy MOVE. Accel is per axis. Speed stops 0.5–8 (default 1); accel default 2, max 4. Chromium/WebView2 is classified by walking ancestors so Intermediate D3D windows still get high-res wheel. Invalid-gaze grace covers a brief look at the dock. Head-pose mouse pauses while LTS owns the cursor.
  • Sleep hold: 500 ms after suspend/resume before the next dwell can start.
  • Dwell defaults: scan grace is 100 ms; Fast rapid first step is 100 ms.
  • Theme tokens: page XML uses bg100–bg05, accent stops, and picker families. Number/hex editor keys fill with bg90. Hover steps the tone ladder.
  • Ultrawide Qwerty: modifiers and chrome keys are darker; rail dwells retuned.
  • Layouts: shipped boards use rowHeights star tracks (1,2,2 → *,2*,2*); rowWeights is gone. Keyboard and mouse grids retuned.

Install

  • Double-click Gazer-0.6.2-beta.msi, or
  • msiexec /i Gazer-0.6.2-beta.msi
  • Quiet: msiexec /i Gazer-0.6.2-beta.msi /qn

Quit a running Gazer first. Launch the Start Menu / Program Files copy (not .\build\Gazer.exe) for UIAccess.

Uninstall

  • Apps & features, or msiexec /x Gazer-0.6.2-beta.msi

Notes

  • Installs to Program Files\Gazer\ with Start Menu + desktop shortcuts
  • Layouts/models ship under resources\; settings stay in %AppData%\Gazer
  • Mouse tracker works without hardware; Tobii Eye Tracker 5 needs Tobii drivers (MSI includes tobii_stream_engine.dll)
  • ProductVersion is 0.6.2; this MSI upgrades earlier 0.6.x betas (same-version upgrades allowed)
  • Self-signed Authenticode is trusted at install so UIAccess can start. A real PFX can be supplied via GAZER_SIGN_PFX.
