Gazer 0.6.3 beta

Signed Windows MSI for testers. The installed Program Files copy uses uiAccess so Gazer can sit above Task Manager and type/click into elevated windows. .\build\Gazer.exe stays unsigned so local builds still launch.

Highlights since 0.6.2 beta

  • Host pages: SubGrid src inlines another catalog board into a slot; HostPage swaps that slot without stacking a second opaque page. Settings share one tab bar; section bodies no longer duplicate chrome.
  • Sidecars: page Run action starts a jailed local Python (.py/.pyw) or AutoHotkey (.ahk) file, one-shot or persist. Inline <AHK> snippets are unchanged. Scripts can call back with Gazer.exe --action.
  • Inbound --action: a second Gazer.exe --action sends page XML actions over a same-user named pipe (\\.\pipe\Gazer). Multiple --action flags join with newlines. A second instance with no payload raises the host. --editor while a peer is up opens the page editor on the live instance.
  • Virtual gamepad: mapping and head-pose joystick can drive an Xbox 360 pad when ViGEmBus is installed and ViGEmClient.dll is next to Gazer.exe (or GAZER_VIGEM_DLL). The DLL is not bundled.
  • Qwerty: Sleep cell replaced with ComboMouse.
  • Look-to-scroll: gaze-to-mouse follow pauses while the LTS pie owns the cursor (same as ComboMouse).
  • Page editor: canvas contrast so the screen reads as an object; zone dwells and accumulate hulls use progress color. Open catalog lists unique XML, skips leftover layer-split siblings, and resolves hosted src from the file dir, then AppData, then shipped layouts.

Install

  • Double-click Gazer-0.6.3-beta.msi, or
  • msiexec /i Gazer-0.6.3-beta.msi
  • Quiet: msiexec /i Gazer-0.6.3-beta.msi /qn

Quit a running Gazer first. Launch the Start Menu / Program Files copy (not .\build\Gazer.exe) for UIAccess.

Uninstall

  • Apps & features, or msiexec /x Gazer-0.6.3-beta.msi

Notes

  • Installs to Program Files\Gazer\ with Start Menu + desktop shortcuts
  • Layouts/models ship under resources\; settings stay in %AppData%\Gazer
  • Mouse tracker works without hardware; Tobii Eye Tracker 5 needs Tobii drivers (MSI includes tobii_stream_engine.dll)
  • ProductVersion is 0.6.3; this MSI upgrades earlier 0.6.x betas (same-version upgrades allowed)
  • Self-signed Authenticode is trusted at install so UIAccess can start. A real PFX can be supplied via GAZER_SIGN_PFX.

Tag v0.6.3-beta on master. Rebuild with .\scripts\build-msi.ps1.
