Major feature release: TimescaleDB, PITR, scheduled backups, and a simpler single-storage backup model.
Highlights
- TimescaleDB OSS — Enable via
parameters.extensions.timescaledb.enabled(PostgreSQL 18 only). Uses Kubernetes ImageVolume; one-way toggle (cannot disable once enabled). Defaultstimescaledb.telemetry_level=offandmax_locks_per_transaction=128. Seeexamples/instance-timescaledb.yaml. - Point-in-Time Recovery (PITR) — Restore to a specific point via
spec.dataSource. - Scheduled backups —
spec.backup.storages[].schedules→ CNPGScheduledBackup(not yet mirrored as OpenEverest Backups). - Single backup storage — Unified Barman/object-store handling, including S3 secret sync fixes.
