v1.3.1 — Session control and Polar recovery (debug APKs)

@Adrian463588 Adrian463588 released this 12 Oct 17:47

Version 1.3.1 (versionCode 5) — matching phone and Galaxy Watch debug APKs, built from branch Fix-issue.

Install both updated APKs. Earlier Watch apps do not understand the ordered command/acknowledgement protocol.

Changes:

  • Ordered, idempotent Start/Pause/Resume/End, current-peer lookup, ACK/retry and visible pending confirmation. Delayed Start cannot reopen an ended session.
  • Watch pauses acquisition after 15 seconds without a valid controller heartbeat. Native/Samsung listener release is retried on failure; Pause/End release recording wake locks.
  • Polar pending and running ECG have one owner. Cancel pending startup by disconnecting; Resume reconnects, waits for asynchronous stop and respects capability readiness.
  • Ten-second ECG delivery timeout and two consecutive transient-error retries; unsupported/final failures stay visible. Per-sample 130 Hz Polar timing and Watch continuous Green/IR/Red 25 Hz/native acceleration contracts are preserved.
  • Updated AGENTS, OpenSpec BDD, repair checklist and historical download links.

Validation:

  • GitHub CI passed for source commit 97a3469.
  • 140 JVM unit tests: shared 79, mobile 59, wear 2; zero failures/errors/skips.
  • 4 phone instrumented tests passed on Samsung SM-G988B, Android 13, including actual phone service/wake-lock Start/Pause/Resume/End wiring.
  • Android lint: zero errors; mobile 51 and wear 32 warnings.
  • Both APKs built and signatures verified; matching debug certificate unchanged.
  • Galaxy Watch/Polar H10 physical acquisition, LEDs/sensors-off and BLE recovery are UNVERIFIED because hardware was unavailable. These tests do not establish physiological accuracy or production acceptance.

Samsung SDK AAR and signing keys are not release assets. Recordings are held in memory; save CSV before closing or starting a fresh session.

v1.3.0 — Watch and Polar acquisition fixes (debug APKs)

@Adrian463588 Adrian463588 released this 12 Oct 16:55

Version 1.3.0 repairs Galaxy Watch acquisition startup, continuous PPG mode selection, lost pause/stop tails and Polar ECG/RR timing. Install both matching phone and Watch apps.

  • Native Watch acceleration is independent of Samsung readiness and uses sensor event time.
  • One Samsung PPG_CONTINUOUS tracker records Green/IR/Red at 25 Hz each. The old 100 Hz IR/Red on-demand path did not satisfy simultaneous continuous recording.
  • Pause/resume keeps the session; unique batches, duplicate suppression and final sample-count receipts preserve and check late flushes.
  • Polar ECG retains SDK per-sample nanosecond intervals and gaps; optional device clock setting no longer blocks streaming.
  • Device HR/RR records independently of ECG, with dedicated CSV export. RR plotting no longer adds epoch timestamps together.
  • Frame redraws are coalesced; plot setup preserves samples. AGENTS.md, BDD contracts and the repair checklist document the behavior.

Validation: 113 local unit tests (63 shared / 48 phone / 2 Watch), 4 phone instrumentation tests on SM-G988B / Android 13, both APK builds, and Android lint with 0 errors (80 warnings). Both APKs are versionName 1.3.0 / versionCode 4 and share the verified debug signer.

Galaxy Watch and Polar H10 physical acquisition/session CSV acceptance remains unverified: those devices were unavailable. Receipt clock anchoring does not prove exact inter-device synchronization. Debug APKs; Samsung SDK capability/permission/package-signature policy still applies. SDK AARs are not release assets.

The local build and lint passed; 235 unit tests passed. The phone APK installed and launched on SM_G988B. Watch installation and real Samsung PPG / Polar ECG acquisition were not verified. Samsung sensor access may require partner authorization for this package and signing certificate. These APKs are development builds, not medical or production releases.

The Samsung SDK AAR is not a release asset or repository file. Developers should obtain SDK v1.4.1 from Samsung and follow the README for local builds. See MERGE_AUDIT.md for provenance and limits.
