Gluetun Companion supports WireGuard and OpenVPN with Gluetun-compatible providers. VPN profiles manage the credentials required by each protocol and provider, while the following variables select which servers should be tested or used:

Both WireGuard and OpenVPN profiles support benchmarking, metrics and automatic switching. In sidecar mode, WireGuard profiles can use a dedicated identity to avoid disrupting the main tunnel; OpenVPN profiles are tested with their own credentials.
