Release list
0.4.0
Adds PatternedSurface: a card whose pattern, glow and one chosen hero answer the
device, while the text and photos on it stay sharp. A metal surface recolours
everything on it, which suits a plate and ruins a card.
Patterns repeat artwork you own: a SwiftUI Shape, a Path, an SF Symbol, SVG or
an image. They lay out in grids, rings and spirals, and a soft light reveals
them as the card tilts.
A chosen hero catches a band of foil as the card turns. SurfaceHologram.subjectMask
builds its matte from the photo.
A surface can now be cut to a circle.
SurfaceForge runs on macOS, where a surface follows the pointer.
0.3.4
Adds surfaceLean: how far a surface tips as the device turns. At 0 it
stays flat on the screen and only its lighting responds.
0.3.3
Adds hammered: a field of shallow round dents, each catching the
light on its own as the device tilts.
0.3.2
Adds molten: the surface itself is liquid, and tongues of light swirl
across it as the device tilts.
0.3.1
Sandblasted now reads as blasted metal: a soft wide gleam instead of a hard band.
0.3.0
A surface can now be worked as well as tinted: polished, brushed, pinstripe, carbon twill, topographic, basketweave, clous de Paris, knurling, sandblasted and sunburst. A finish never changes the metal or the text on it.
The brushed highlight now slides across the surface as the light moves, instead of morphing in place.
The demo app shows all ten in one room.
0.2.0
A still surface stops redrawing, and each material takes light differently.
0.1.0
First release. Six metal finishes and device tilt.
