Quickstart Guide
When you first open the Jumpchain Character Builder, you will be presented with the Jumpchain Overview.
There's a lot to unpack here if you're not already familiar with the layout, so as follows will be a guide to help walk you through starting your first Chain in this app.
Before anything else, you'll want to click on the 'Jumpchain Options' tab at the top right.
This menu is where you will set up all the essential options for your Chain. In most cases, the options you will most want to modify starting out are the Supplement options. Most notably, in the Supplement-specific option tabs, you will want to enable the 'Are further purchases allowed' options for each if you are using an unlisted Supplement that allows you to actually purchase upgrades. The default setting just gives you a text box in the relevant area to input your Body Mod details, which is primarily useful for block-text Body Mod/Warehouse Supplements that don't let you make choices.
Another option you will want to note is the 'Origin Auto-discounts' selection in the Main Options panel. If this is checked, all newly created Jumps will be able to use the Origin Auto-discounts feature by default. When it is active, if the associated Origin of a Purchase matches with the one selected by the character whose build it belongs to, it will automatically be discounted by 50% or made free depending on the set threshold.
