Releases: AgentZ-Media/AgentZ-Suite
Release list
ScriptZ 0.11.0
ScriptZ v0.11.0 - Agent mode, Ida tasks and a new look
What's new
- Agent mode: a new "Ida" page next to the script chat (top of the sidebar, ⌘L outside a script or ⌘⇧L). Start with a folder, a target length and your speaking pace, then find ideas or write a script together.
- Ideas arrive as numbered cards - save them with a click or just ask in the chat, with undo.
- Drafts stream live into a side panel with versions, change highlights, a length meter, quoting by selection, discard and copy.
- "Done" turns the draft into a regular script and can take the conversation along into the script chat.
- Past sessions are searchable, and "Continue" picks up where you left off.
- Ida tasks: check the hook, shorten, raise the pace, sharpen the ending, fact-check or get feedback - from cards in an empty chat, chips at the problem spot, right-click or ⌘K. Suggestion cards show runtime, speaker changes, longest line and when the conflict starts, with a dashed preview right in the script.
- Hook markers: 3, 5 and 10 second marks from the first line of dialog, in the page margin and the timeline.
- Visible learning: the sidebar and chat show when Ida is about to learn from a script, a toast reports what was learned, and the inspector shows the learning status. Scripts are only relearned after a meaningful change, and you can choose from which stage on Ida learns (Settings > Agent).
- Export several scripts at once: "Export as PDF" in the selection bar opens the export dialog with a file list, character colors and title page for all files. PDFs include runtime and page numbers, and the title page choice is remembered.
- A new look: a sliding selection in the sidebar, a library with weekly activity, small script thumbnails, cast avatars and runtime bars, paper on a calm desk in the editor, a runtime ring against your target, rolling counters and a small celebration when a script is finished.
- Typewriter focus: in focus mode, the line you are writing stays in the middle of the screen (Settings, off by default).
- Faster with large libraries: saving updates only the changed script instead of reloading everything, chats stream more smoothly, and new database indexes speed up lists, folders and search.
Fixes
- Renaming, moving or changing the stage of a script is no longer reverted by an autosave that was still in flight.
- Search finds text in languages without spaces, such as Chinese.
- Draft runtimes count action lines the same way as scripts.
- The sidebar can be expanded again from inside a script, and idea titles in the Inbox use the full width again.
Updating
Install the update from the app's update indicator, or download the installer below. Your scripts, ideas and settings are kept.
Installation (first time only)
macOS (Apple Silicon)
-
Download the
.dmgbelow and open it. -
Drag ScriptZ.app into your Applications folder.
-
The app is not signed (no Apple Developer account), so macOS
refuses to launch it. Run this command in Terminal once to remove
the quarantine flag:xattr -cr "/Applications/ScriptZ.app" -
Open ScriptZ from the Applications folder - it now launches
normally.
Without step 3, you'll see the message "ScriptZ is damaged and can't
be opened" or "can't be opened because the developer cannot be
verified". That's macOS Gatekeeper, not the app.
Windows (x64)
- Download the
.exeinstaller below and run it. - On first launch, Windows SmartScreen kicks in: "Windows
protected your PC". The app is not signed (no EV code-signing
certificate), so SmartScreen doesn't know it yet. - Click "More info", then the button that appears: "Run
anyway". - From there on, ScriptZ runs normally. Auto-updates work without
any further friction.
Without step 3, SmartScreen aborts the launch. That's Windows
protection, not the app.
ScriptZ 0.10.1
ScriptZ v0.10.1 - Optional nightly updates
What's new
- Optional nightly updates: enable "Receive nightly builds" under Settings > Updates to try upcoming changes before the next stable release. Stable updates remain the default.
- Automatic backups: before installing an update from, to or between nightly builds, ScriptZ backs up its database and keeps the five most recent backups. If the backup fails, the update is stopped.
- Recognizable nightly builds: nightly versions have a starry sidebar and loading screen, a nightly badge, a dedicated app icon, and build details under About.
- Return to stable updates: turn nightly updates off to wait for the next newer stable version. The nightly channel also checks for stable releases and offers the newer version automatically.

ScriptZ 0.10.0
ScriptZ v0.10.0 - Your own writing agent and a new workspace
What's new
- Writing agent: ScriptZ now has an optional personal writing agent with its own name, look and personality. It runs through the Codex CLI installed on your computer (Codex must be installed and signed in). Set it up once under Settings > Agent; while it is switched off, nothing leaves your computer.
- Chat per script (⌘L): ask for ideas, rewrites or feedback. Suggestions arrive as 1 to 3 options in script style and are inserted with a click - undo with ⌘Z. The agent never writes into your script on its own.
- Right-click on selected text: fact-check with web sources, talk about the passage, check the wording or rewrite it.
- Memory: the agent learns your style, your folders and your characters from chats and finished scripts - always optional, and every entry can be edited or removed.
- The chat starts closed in every script and only opens when you ask for it.
- "Open" in the sidebar: every script you open full-size stays in the new "Open" section until you close it, so switching between several scripts is one click. Finished scripts leave the list automatically (can be turned off).
- Side panel: a click in a list opens the script right next to it while the list stays visible. Expand it to the full view at any time, or turn the side panel off under Settings > Library to always open scripts full-size.
- Board view: Inbox, All Scripts and folders can switch between list and board. Drag a card to change its stage, or drag an idea onto a stage to turn it into a script.
- Cleaner lists: filter, view, grouping and sorting now sit in a toolbar right above the list. In the Inbox, scripts in progress come first and your ideas follow below.
- New script dialog: the yellow "New script" button (⌘N) asks for a title and a folder - you can create a new folder right there - and opens the script directly.

ScriptZ 0.9.2
ScriptZ v0.9.2 - Inbox, custom stages and a smarter sidebar
What's new
- Inbox: a new entry at the top of the sidebar collects everything that is still in progress - open ideas and every script before the last stage. It only shows up while there is something to do.
- Custom stages: the production stages can now be edited under Settings > Stages. Rename, reorder, add (up to 10) or remove them; scripts of a removed stage move to the previous one. The last stage counts as done.
- Recent scripts fill the sidebar: the "Recent" section shows as many recently opened scripts as fit the window height instead of a fixed five.
- More reliable quitting and saving: quitting no longer hangs when the window never finished loading, and repeated save errors ask whether to close anyway instead of locking you in.

ScriptZ 0.9.1
ScriptZ v0.9.1 - Update channel validation
What is new
- Validation release for the new ScriptZ-specific update channel introduced in 0.9.0.
- Editor behavior, scripts, settings and storage format are unchanged from 0.9.0.
Updating
Install this update from ScriptZ 0.9.0 to use the new signed update channel. Installations on 0.8.4 need the new installer once; your existing local data is retained.

ScriptZ 0.9.0
ScriptZ v0.9.0 - Built on the shared AgentZ Suite foundation.
What's new
- ScriptZ now shares its design system, settings and desktop infrastructure with future AgentZ tools. Your editor, scripts and workflow stay familiar.
- The yellow ScriptZ icon is now consistent across the app, macOS and Windows installers.
- Native menus follow your German or English language preference.
Bug fixes
- Closing a window and quitting now wait for pending changes to save; a failed save keeps the app open.
- Update installation saves pending work before an installer can stop the app.
- Reopening the app restores its window, and a second launch focuses the existing instance.
Updating
This release moves ScriptZ to its own update channel. If you use v0.8.4 or earlier, install v0.9.0 once using the installer below. Your existing local data stays in place. Future updates will appear inside ScriptZ.

ScriptZ — current downloads
Always the current version of ScriptZ: 0.10.1.
ScriptZ v0.8.4
ScriptZ v0.8.4 - Sending to ScriptZ Studio now uses a permanent connection instead of one-time codes.
What's new
- Connect once, send anytime. Instead of generating a fresh
15-minute code in Studio for every transfer, you now paste a
permanent connect code once into Settings → Studio. The connection
can be tested right there and removed at any time; in Studio the key
can be rotated or revoked whenever you want to cut access. - Pick the destination per transfer. Sending scripts or ideas now
opens a small picker that loads your Studio clients and their
folders, so you choose exactly where each batch lands (a specific
folder or the client's inbox) - nothing is sent blindly anymore. - No Studio, no clutter. If no connect code is configured, the app
shows no Studio buttons or dialogs at all. Everything Studio-related
appears only after you connect.

ScriptZ v0.8.3
ScriptZ v0.8.3 - A new Inbox folder surfaces everything that isn't filed away yet.
What's new
- Inbox folder for scripts and ideas. Once you have at least one
folder, a new "Inbox" chip appears next to "All". It collects
everything that isn't sorted into a folder yet, so you always have a
clear view of what still needs filing. It works the same way in both
the scripts browser and the ideas view, and its counter shows how many
loose items are waiting. Drag a script onto the Inbox to pull it back
out of its folder; a new script or idea created while the Inbox is
active simply stays unfiled.
