Distributed Job Portal Microservices

Features

• User Service: User profile management with skill autocomplete (Trie data structure)

Architecture

• Microservices: Each core function is a separate Spring Boot service
• Data Structures: Trie (autocomplete), HashMap (caching), PriorityQueue (urgent jobs), Graph (matching)
• Database: MySQL for user-service, H2 for job-service (can be swapped for MySQL)
• API Gateway: Spring Cloud Netflix Zuul

How to Build and Run

1. Build all services:

   cd user-service && mvn clean package
   cd ../job-service && mvn clean package
   cd ../matching-service && mvn clean package
   cd ../api-gateway && mvn clean package
   cd ..

2. Start all services:

   docker-compose up --build

3. Test endpoints: Use Postman or curl (see below).
