Dossier 1.7.0
A Calendar screen with your week and month, interviews kept in step with Google Calendar both ways, and interview times read in your own time zone.
What's new
- Calendar: a new Calendar screen in the sidebar shows your week (an hour grid, all-day events on top, today and the current time marked) or your month. It shows the events in your Google Calendar, read for the days on screen and never kept, with your interviews highlighted: an interview opens its application, any other event opens in Google Calendar. Without Google connected, it shows your interviews.
- Interviews in step with Google Calendar: changing an interview's date in Dossier moves its event in Google Calendar, removing the date deletes the event, and setting one adds it. Moving or deleting the event in Google Calendar changes the interview in Dossier: on the next inbox check, or when you open the calendar or the application. This needs Add interviews to my calendar in Settings → Google, which is on by default.
Fixes
- Interview times in your time zone: when a reply said "let's meet at 13:00", the interview could land hours off. Without a time zone set in Settings → Google, Dossier read the mail in the server's zone, which is usually UTC. It now uses your browser's, and remembers it for the inbox check.
Upgrading
Take a backup, then deploy ghcr.io/aientech/dossier:v1.7.0 (see Upgrading in the README). On its first start, Dossier adds two columns for interview events; your data isn't touched. Nothing changes in your configuration.
An interview added to your calendar before 1.7.0 isn't linked to its event: changing its date in Dossier adds a new event, so delete the old one in Google Calendar. Open Dossier in your browser once after upgrading, so it learns your time zone.
