Airreload Go v1.1.0-beta.5 — Installation recovery hotfix

This beta hotfix adds recovery when Android rejects an APK because a newer version or a conflicting signing certificate is already installed.

• Tap Uninstall and reinstall to remove the conflicting app through Android's confirmation screen, then install the saved APK without another build or download.
• See uninstall and installation progress on Home, and retry after cancelling uninstall.
• Recover supported conflict errors left by older Go versions. Missing APKs show instructions to reconnect and download again.
• Active retries preserve their saved APK and reuse the existing History entry.

Uninstalling removes the target app's local data. Android asks for confirmation before uninstalling and installing.

Download Airreload-Go-1.1.0-beta.5.apk below. This is the debug-signed beta distribution, using the same signing certificate as beta.4, with Android version code 8. Install it over the existing Go app. SHA-256 checksums are included.

Validated with Android/shared unit tests, Android lint, APK build, and 14 emulator tests for recovery and reconnect. The recovery tests simulate uninstall outcomes; a full real-device uninstall/reinstall cycle has not been verified for this release.

Requires Android 8.0 or newer. This release updates Airreload Go only; the CLI remains at 0.3.0-beta.6.

Airreload Go v1.1.0-beta.4 — Reconnect hotfix

Hotfix for “pairing code has already been used” when the same phone rescans after an interrupted build wait.

• Remember the most recently approved computer session and offer Reconnect to computer after reopening Go or cancelling pairing.
• Reuse the phone's identity for that session across retries, rescans, and app restarts.
• Resume waiting or download the finished APK without starting another build.
• Keep recovery details during temporary outages; remove sessions the computer reports as expired.

Use with Airreload CLI 0.3.0-beta.6 for the Show reconnect QR control. Keep the original CLI process running at the same address and return to the same trusted network. A different phone or a restarted CLI needs a fresh session.

After installing this update, start one fresh CLI session. Earlier Go versions did not save the in-flight pairing identity, so that old session cannot be recovered by the update.

Validation

All 40 Android unit tests passed, including a simulated build lasting over an hour. Five reconnect/lifecycle tests passed on an Android emulator; these cover HTTP reconnection during and after a build, expiration, stale-worker protection, and reconnecting after reopening the UI. Android lint and APK assembly passed. The browser reconnect flow was checked during building and ready states.

Known validation limitation: an existing Android 16 theme/system-bar-color test fails on both this branch and the unchanged baseline. The keyboard check passed on rerun. This hotfix has not had a live Windows/phone acceptance run.

Airreload Go 1.1.0 Beta 3

Airreload Go now keeps waiting through long builds and recovers from brief connection failures. Use with Airreload CLI 0.3.0-beta.4 so the PC session remains available and initial pairing requests can retry safely.

Changes

• Remove the ten-minute build wait limit while the computer is still responding.
• Retry temporary connection failures, including a lost response to the initial pairing request, using a stable request ID.
• Show recovery instructions after about a minute without contact. Keep the computer awake and on the same trusted Wi-Fi network.
• Stop immediately for expired or already-claimed pairing codes; cancellation suppresses later download/error callbacks.
• Add regression coverage for slow builds, lost responses, temporary outages, recovery deadlines, and cancellation.
• Include the Apache-2.0 OR MIT licensing added since the previous beta.

Airreload Go 1.1.0 Beta 2

Smoother pairing, visible progress, unified dark mode

Use this beta with Airreload CLI 0.2.0-beta.2.

What's new

• QR scans and manually entered URLs accept only valid Airreload pairing links; arbitrary APK URLs no longer start downloads.
• After pairing is confirmed, Airreload reports supported Android ABIs so the CLI builds the matching debug APK, then downloads it automatically when ready.
• Visible pairing, download progress, and error feedback instead of silent waiting.
• A navy/slate dark theme with blue accents, coordinated cards, sheets, system bars, scanner styling, and dark launcher backgrounds. The main light-mode palette is unchanged.
