IMPORTANT

This version of the PsychoRando is NOT COMPATIBLE with the current base Seed Generator. It is ONLY compatible with the Psychonauts Archipelago Beta, and includes several new features for the base randomizer to test out. I plan on updating the base Seed Generator in the future to match any new feature changes.

For a non-beta build with a functioning generator, use v1.0.0

Major Changes

  • The Archipelago item pool has been reworked to allow duplicate items. This means progressive items all have the same name (Progressive Marksmanship 1, Progressive Marksmanship 2, and Progressive Marksmanship 3 are now just Progressive Marksmanship) and filler items like Psicards, Arrowhead Bundles, and Vaults that were previously individually numbered, have the same name now.
    Massive thanks to Mysteryem for making this change possible.

  • The handling of ModData by Archipelago and the Randomizer has been reworked to be separated by seed name and slot name. This change allows connecting to the Psychonauts AP Client at any time (not just in the new game selection screen), and prevents situations where items from previous playthroughs could be released into new multiworlds on connecting. This also makes changing between multiple ongoing multiworlds easier and consistent, only requiring swapping out RandoSeed.lua for the seed you want to play on.

Minor Changes

  • Lootbox Vaults have been nerfed. The base range of arrowheads has been decreased from 10-100 -> 10-75, small jackpot has been reduced from 250 -> 100, and large jackpot has been reduced from 500 -> 250. Rank Up rewards remain unchanged.
  • The location (AS Courtyard) Crow's Basket now behaves like the original game and requires Invisibility to logically access.
  • The Stop Sign now displays "Stop Sign" instead of just "Sign" in game.
