BenchClock is a time card for jewelry artists: clock in, work, clock out, and say what share of the session went to each piece on the bench. Everything stays on your own computer as plain files.
Which file do I need?
| Your computer | Download |
|---|---|
| Windows 10 or 11 | the file ending in win-x64.exe |
| Mac, Apple Silicon or Intel | the file ending in mac-universal.dmg |
| Linux, Ubuntu, Debian, Mint | the file ending in linux-amd64.deb |
| Linux, anything else | the file ending in .AppImage (make it executable, then run it) |
The first time you open it
BenchClock isn't signed with a paid certificate yet, so your computer will ask whether you trust it.
- Windows shows "Windows protected your PC". Click More info, then Run anyway.
- Mac: open the
.dmgand drag BenchClock to Applications. If it is blocked when you open it, go to System Settings > Privacy & Security, scroll down, and click Open Anyway. On older versions of macOS, right-click the app and choose Open.
Updating is installing the new version over the old one. Your time card is kept separately and is not touched.
Inside the app, Help > BenchClock Help (F1) explains everything, and Help > About BenchClock shows the version you have.
To put a price on your finished pieces, install BenchPrice alongside: it reads this time card and adds metal, stones and findings.
