2.4.4 - Companion Travel + Lost Recovery Reliability - 2026-03-19

Added

  • Added strict linked-companion lost-state tracking (CommandLinkedNpcLost.dat) wired to relocation retry exhaustion, with persisted original-to-replacement mappings that suppress stale originals if they reappear later.
  • Linked companion panel/menu flows now recognize LOST companions, block recall/return-home while lost, and allow Respawn to perform strict recovery (replacement spawn + anti-dup stale-original suppression mapping).
  • Added role-scoped command travel settings under TwCompanionConfig.Command.Travel: CrossWorldRecallEnabled, OnTransferFailure, FollowMasterOnWorldChange, and FollowMasterOnWorldChangeStateFilter.
  • Added automatic companion travel relocation hooks for player world-entry and same-world teleport arrival events.
  • Linked companion panel now supports nearby-only Release and Cull actions behind the existing confirm flow, with ownership/tamed gating for safety.
  • Added feed trough asset support (Tw_Feed_Trough) with staged food/water block variants, localized open/empty interaction prompts, and generated icon/model assets.
  • Added water-trough charge handling through TameworkClearFeedTroughWater and FeedTroughWaterStateService, including progressive water-state depletion and clear-to-base behavior.
  • Added bucket integration mappings so container/deco buckets can refill feed trough water variants to full state.

Changed

  • Companion needs hydration can now consume nearby feed trough water charges when available.

Fixed

  • Cross-world relocation now restores follow-capable command state on arrival from linked-record cached command state metadata.
  • World-change travel state filtering now evaluates cached command state instead of volatile runtime role state after teleport unloads.
  • Relocation finalization now retries when owner MasterTarget is temporarily unavailable, preventing transferred companions from arriving without follow binding.
