Standalone Devices
ALX PC includes several devices that can be used independently from a complete ALX PC.
These devices work at a low level and parse files directly in Expression2 without relying on external libraries or modules.
They are included in the alx_pc/standalone folder inside Advanced Duplicator 2.
A standalone E2-based MIDI player for playing MIDI files through Wiremod sound. It supports MIDI Type 0 and Type 1 files and can use different sound modes. See the MIDI Player documentation in the source code.
A standalone E2-based BMP image reader for displaying BMP files on a Digital Screen. It supports multiple BMP formats, RLE compression, image scaling, and multithreaded rendering. See the BMP Reader documentation in the source code.
A standalone E2-based JPG image reader for displaying JPG files on a Digital Screen. It supports Baseline and Progressive JPG images, multiple YUV formats, and progressive preview modes. See the JPG Reader documentation in the source code.
A standalone E2-based GIF image reader for displaying GIF files on a Digital Screen. It supports animated GIFs, interlaced images, looping, disposal modes, and several animation modes. See the GIF Reader documentation in the source code.
